Ramen is Cool in Ramen Cool

There’s a new Japanese restaurant in Kapitolyo, Pasig named Ramen Cool. I wouldn’t be surprised if this soon becomes an “it” place given its modern chic interiors and super delicious food.

They have a hefty serving of Japanese food goodness that are really affordable.

The sukiyaki and beef donburi are my personal favorites. H-E-A-V-E-N!

Next time you crave for ramen, maki or any of your Jap food favorites, do visit Ramen Cool. The drive’s gonna be worth it, I promise!

Ramen Cool is located in 25 East Kapitolyo Drive cor. West Kapitolyo Drive, Kapitolyo, Pasig. They’re open daily, from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Finally had time to have my nails done! I asked my nail technician a.k.a. manikurista to put stripes and dots alternately on my nails. So happy with the result!

Pipino

I’m back to doing what I love the most: eating! Haha! Since I had to subject myself to a low carb, low sugar diet (there were a lot of lapses though) for a few weeks, I’ve missed eating a lot of rice, a lot of chocolates and a lot of other things. But now that I have no bikini and beach to think of for a couple of days, I’ve been practically eating everything that is served on the table. I feel like I’m having some kind of food withdrawal! Haha!

Anyway, I’ve decided that instead of crush dieting, I should actually start living healthy. And to live healthy, I need to eat healthy (I should probably have that Go, Grow, Glow food diagram again. LOL.) and exercise as well.

And speaking of healthy, there’s a restaurant that my friends and I visited last month (my friend Nash blogged about it here) that only offers vegetarian food. The veggie place is called Pipino.

I don’t know if I can go vegetarian, but if I need a fix of everything healthy, I’ll definitely go straight to Pipino. Their food is delicious and really affordable!

Summertime

I just had an amazing summer vacation with my friends Nash and Joanna (with the special participation of Lou and Kath) last weekend. I’ll most probably blog about that later this week.

Anyway, Nash and I did a mini photoshoot while we were there. Can I just say that this friend of mine has a great potential of being a professional photographer? Sarah Black ang peg!

It was scorching hot! I felt like having a sauna while having these photos taken.  Haha! But tiis ganda dapat!

It’s crazy that this summer vacation had to end. I can stay in Boracay forever! But as what they always say, “all good things must come to an end.”

So to my dearest beach, I promise we’ll be back.

I’m on a Hunger Games high!

I just watched the movie the other night with some friends (thanks Kath!) and can I just say how AWESOME it was? Usually, if a film’s an adaptation of a book I’ve read, I leave the movie house frustrated, questioning why it deviated from the story, why the actors didn’t do just justice to their characters, and whatnot.

But not this movie. Not The Hunger Games. Sure, it wasn’t perfect. But it was amazing.

I remember my friend Joanna asked me the other day what would she consider when scouting for new Joanney items to sell to me and I answered black, white, and gray.

I really love these three basic colors. They’re so classy. Plus, black and gray make me look slim.

Since I’m not really an accessories person, what I do to break the monotony of this black-white-gray ensemble is wear red lipstick. I’m currently using NYX Matte Perfect Red.

You can also be particular with the details of the clothes. Like for this one, I’m wearing an animal print top and my skirt has a zipper detail in front.

By the way, did you notice my hair? Well, I’m not talking about how awkward its length is now. I got rid of my highlights! Finally! I had my cousin dyed my hair dark auburn.

Well, the color’s not that obvious in the photo. Oh well, I’ll take a better shot of it once I find my camera’s battery charger! For now, I’ll rest and prepare for another work day tomorrow.

My Binondo Girls

It was my first time to “celebrate” Chinese New Year and I loved it! I was with my WWFs (Whatever Whenever Friends) in Binondo, Manila yesterday to enjoy some Chinese food, buy hopia, and watch the dragon dance. Ang daming dragon! Nakakatuwa!

Our first stop was supposedly Wai Ying Restaurant in Benavidez St., Binondo but because of some unfortunate event and a little bit of stupidity, my friends were already in the resto waiting for their food while I was in *drum roll please* Tondo. Hahaha! I had no choice but to walk going to Ongpin. The walk seemed like forever! But when I reached the place, it was soooo festive, the exhaustion I was feeling just went away.

After witnessing some Chinese New Year traditions, I finally saw Wai Ying. Now, don’t expect the place to be your high-end restaurant. But do expect delicious, yummy, sumptuous food! I love love love Chinese food and Wai Ying lived up to my expectations.
